  Music @ Padre's
Leo Rondeau and Mario Matteoli come to Marfa for their frist Padre's show tonight. Leo plays a wildly successful weekly show of original rock and country at Austin's famed Hole in the Wall. Mario is an incredible guitarist and frontman who was the founding lead singer of the Weary Boys and has been rocking it solo since. This will be a great show featuring two of the absolute best of Austin's younger musical crop. 8:30 PM

Moondogs @ Rays/Joe's
Marfa's Rock 'n Roll, Rhythm & Blues dance band, the Moondogs, will play at Joe's Place/Ray's Bar on East Hwy 90 in Marfa. 9pm. Put on your dancing shoes for a night with the Moondogs!

CDRI After Dark
The Desert After Dark: Guided Discovery Walks and Evening Hours Saturdays, July 18, 25 Sunset Fee: $5 The desert comes alive after dark. Join CDRI staff and volunteers on these guided, nocturnal excursions into our botanical gardens and Modesta Canyon to discover what goes on when the sun goes down. The garden walk will be an easy stroll, but the canyon hike is steep and strenuous in places. This is a great family activity, but children must be closely supervised by adults. Remember to dress warmly in layers, wear appropriate hiking shoes, and bring a flashlight.

Petra's Suena
The Sul Ross State University Summer Theater program presents Petra's Sueno, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8:15pm at the Outdoor Theatre at Kokernot Lodge. Petra's Sue�o July 17-Aug. 2 Written by Rupert Reyes Directed by Liz Castillo This is the last play to the Petras Series and will introduce new characters and promises an exciting ending.
