The Presidio County Courthouse was built in 1886. It is an example of Second Empire style, with projecting surfaces and Mansard-style roofs that were in fashion in Europe in the mid-19th century. J.H. Britton designed this imposing building.

The Texas Historic Commission funded a complete restoration of the courthouse. It was re-dedicated in 2001.

Take the elevator and stairs to the cupola and enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the Marfa Plateau and nearby Davis Mountains. The Goddess of Justice stands atop the dome of the Courthouse.

The courthouse is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
