Description:
Don't Miss It!....huge Benefit Auction on Labor Day Saturday, September 4th sponsored by the Grand Companions Humane Society at the St. Joseph Parish Hall in Fort Davis. Starting at noon until 5 p.m. the Silent Auction will take place, entertainment will follow featuring "Pies for Paws" supper of both savory and sweet pies served with wine, and at 6:30 p.m. the Live Auction will begin. Just a few of the auction highlights are: Western Art by Bill Zaner, E.M. "Buck" Schiwetz, Donald Vann, Jim Stuckenberg, C.R. Bob Johnson, Jan Moeller, and Deborah Allison; Photography by John Avant, Jim Bones, James Evans, and Max Kandler; Beatles and Star Trek memorabilia, kitchen collectibles, old dolls and accessories, Southwest style decorative items. comic books and specialty Texana books; fine jewelry; antique quilts and furniture, Fenton and vintage glassware, Asian Art, Belleek, Noritake, Fitz & Floyd China; Gift Certificates galore! The entire proceeds -100%- will be donated to Grand Companions Humane Society to aid homeless pets. Marfa Lights Festival
Description:
The Marfa Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 24th annual Marfa Lights Festival will take place on Labor Day Weekend, September 3-5,2010 around the historic Presidio County Courthouse. The festival will open at 5PM on Friday when food and craft vendors open their booths for business. The fun starts again on Saturday with a parade down Highland Avenue. On Sunday, the vendors and entertainment will continue until 6pm. As always, the Marfa Lights Festival promises lots of fun for the entire family.
