Reading and Book Launch: Jeffrey Yang, author of "Aquarium"
and editor at New Directions Publishing, will be launching the new book, "Birds, Beasts and Seas: Nature Poems from New Directions" a collection which he edited, and reading a little bit, as well. Food Shark will follow. (Lannan.)

Big Bend Gem & Mineral Show
- Description:
- The 22nd Annual Big Bend Gem & Mineral Show opens at 9am on Friday, April 15 at the Alpine Civic Center on Hwy 90 West. There will be Fun for All with hourly door prizes, a grand prize, kid's corner, silent auction, demonstratons and MANY vendors.
Admission is FREE. Hours are 9am - 6pm Friday & Saturday and 11am till 5pm on Sunday. The Sul Ross Geology Club will be selling food on site.
