Billy Joe Shaver is an American country music singer and songwriter. Shaver is a notoriously feisty honky-tonk hero who helped define the 1970s outlaw-country movement with his songs about hell-raising and hard living. Shaver's 1973 album Old Five and Dimers Like Me is a classic in the outlaw country genre. His most recent album, 2007's country gospel style Everybody's Brother was Grammy-nominated.
